About my writing

I'm a Vancouver-based writer. I focus on travel, food and urban culture. As a mum on the move, I'm particularly interested in creative family travel. You won't find us at Disney World. 

Travel copywriting and travel blogging are two of my favourite genres. My work appears in tourism blogs, city guides, magazines and newspapers including InsideVancouver.ca, Montecristo, WE Vancouver, Vancouver magazine, and GuestLife Vancouver City Guide. See In Print for clips.

I've lived all over the world. Like all veteran travelers,  I want to keep seeing new places and trying new things. Now I have more people in my life: my husband, Morten Jerven, a fellow traveler, and an adorable kiddo named Robin. I explore the world with my family. More on that here.

I am a food trend sleuth. I track trends globally. From the new Scandinavian cuisine to dumpling mania and locavore 2.0, I'm in the middle of the action. With a fork.

I have a thing for profiling designers - from fashion to furniture - including Jason Wu, Erdem, Rachel Zoe, Brian Atwood, Nicola Formichetti, Sebastian Peigne, Lapo Elkann, Tom Mora, Nicole Bridger, Damian Van Zyll De Jong, Anna Kosturova and more.

I speak Norglish - a combination of Norwegian and English.
